Missy Williams
Missy and her husband, David, co-founded Seed Effect in 2009 in partnership with the local church after a mission trip to South Sudan. Missy serves as Seed Effect’s Executive Director. Seed Effect now oversees the largest network of savings and loan groups in the region.
Missy received her B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduating from UT, and prior to launching Seed Effect, she managed a small business and started an interior design firm in Dallas. Missy and David have two children, are actively involved in Watermark Community Church, and serve on the board of their children’s school, Classical School of Dallas. Missy also loves to watercolor, garden, fly fish, and travel with her family.
Tom Lernihan
Tom Lernihan is a Chief Investment Officer for His Fund, a Faith-Driven fund that strategically invests to generate employment opportunities for those in poverty while addressing the world’s greatest social concerns. Tom is passionate about his faith, his family, and pursuing innovation through entrepreneurship. Tom lives in Carmel Indiana, is married to his best friend Chelsea, and is the proud father of four children.
Leda Shelburne
Leda came to the Lord as a teenager, right after the fall of the communist government in Albania, through the program of “700 Club.” She worked with Albanian Public Radio and then as producer and programming director for the first Christian radio station in the country.
In 2001 Leda and her husband founded Media 7, now the biggest Christian media organization in the Albanian language. Media 7 owns five Christian radio stations reaching 90% of the population and two radio stations in Kosovo, reaching 80% of that country. In 2017, Media 7 launched the first Christian TV station in the country of Kosovo, and later on in Albania and other Balkan countries.
Besides radio and television, Media 7’s humanitarian arm serves widows, orphans, and marginalized people while sharing the love of Christ in action. Through skills training, small business start-up funds, food and medical outreaches, thousands of people have been reached. Leda has a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University and believes strongly in servant leadership. Today, her passion is to reach Albanians for Christ all over the world.
Leda and her husband Shayne and son Andrew live in Tirana, Albania.
Mike Rogers
Mike has been a serial-entrepreneur throughout his career. In the 1990’s, Mike built business productivity technologies for companies such as Coca-Cola as well as national non-profit organizations such as The Salvation Army.
Today Mike’s calling is helping exceptional, faith-first businesses scale their Kingdom impact on employees, customers, vendors and community. He is co-founder of a newly-formed impact investment group in Kansas City.
Mike holds a MS in Business Analytics from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Accounting from Kansas State University. He and his bride have been married for over 35 years and have four grown children and two grandchildren.
Randy Wilson
Randy serves WeldenField Development, CreatureBuilds, and EverSource Wealth Advisors under several different titles, all of which are focused on the Kingdom Impact for each company. Randy helps develop internal and external ministry plans, relevant mission related KPI’s, recruits and develops teams, and works with teams daily to accomplish their desired Kingdom Impact. Randy also serves as the Executive Director of Work for Life, an international business training organization that seeks to see people live out their full God-given potential through business training and ownership.
João Mordomo
João’s driving passion is to glorify God by starting and leading that help fulfill the Great Commission. He is co-chair of BAM Global, a global network for the business as mission movement. He is co-founder and Vice Chair of Crossover Global, a church planting organization that has planted over 3100 churches. Additionally, João is co-founder, co-owner or board member of several Kingdom businesses and BAM companies, as well as founding member of the Council for Business & Theology of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), and Senior Associate (Catalyst) for Business as Mission at the Lausanne Movement. With doctorates in Intercultural Studies, Religious Studies, and specializations in entrepreneurship, human resource management, and Christian leadership, he designs and teaches BAM-related courses at several universities, in addition to teaching organizational leadership and intercultural studies. He and his family are based in Curitiba, Brazil.
Mats Tunehag
Mats Tunehag is a speaker, writer, and consultant from Sweden and has worked in more than half the countries of the world. For over 20 years he has had a special focus on developing the Business as Mission, BAM concept.
In 2002 he initiated and co-led the first global think tank on BAM, which produced the Lausanne Paper on BAM as well as the BAM Manifesto (2004). In 2011 he and Mrs. Jo Plummer developed another much bigger global think tank on Business as Mission with over 30 national, regional, and international working groups.
Tunehag is the chairman of BAM global and has served for many years as a senior leader on BAM in both the Lausanne Movement and World Evangelical Alliance. He has also served on the Global Council of Advocates international, and currently serves part time with a global investment fun that focuses on SME’s in the Arab world and Asia.
Luke Roush
Luke Roush co-founded Sovereign’s Capital in 2012, and is a Managing Partner for the firm. While living in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta from 2013-2016, he opened the fund’s operations in Asia. Prior to Sovereign’s Capital, Luke had twelve years of experience in global commercialization and business development at venture-backed businesses and Fortune 500 companies.
He was Vice President for Sales, Marketing, and Business Development at TransEnterix (NYSE:TRXC) and he previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Liquidia Technologies (NSDQ:LQDA). He also co-founded 410 Medical, a medical device company focused on pediatric emergency care.
Luke currently serves on the board of directors for Bandwidth (NSDQ:BAND). He graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, and later earned his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business. Luke resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Brooke, and their three children.
Sam Lam
Sam Lam co-founded Manas and is based in Washington, DC. Under his leadership, Manas has launched operations across 15+ emerging markets through early stage ventures and partnerships with leading US technology companies. Prior to Manas, Sam built a business in China and negotiated strategic partnerships for AOL. Sam is a graduate of Yale University. He is married to Jennifer and they have two kids. Sam is also an elder at his church.
Tom Sudyk
Tom Sudyk is Chairman & Founder of EC Group International, which builds dedicated software teams that work directly within his clients’ existing development structure. He uses his business to eliminate poverty and help disadvantaged people in India. Tom formed EC Group in 1999 and is well-versed in the complexities of domestic and international business. He is respected for his straightforward approach and has guided a number of for-profit and non-profit organizations through financial and managerial difficulties. He serves as a director on a number of boards and is a principal in companies with operations in North America, India, and China.
Tom’s life is an example for every founder and entrepreneur who seeks to demonstrate their profession in Christ through their professionalism in the marketplace. Due to his faithfulness, the modern Business-as-Mission movement and events like The Lions’ Den exist.
Zane Tarence
Zane Tarence, Partner and Head of Founders Advisors’ Technology and Business Services Group, is an experienced investment banker, entrepreneur and recognized expert on the growth and monetization of digital media, internet technology and software companies. Over the past 20 years, Zane has led and completed more than 87 technology deals, including facilitating the sale of some of the largest lead generation internet businesses in the United States.
Zane is a noted speaker with Vistage International and Convene. He is the founder of the preeminent SaaS and internet summit, Silicon Y’all. Zane is the author of “17 Reasons Your Company Is Not Investment Grade & What To Do About It”. Zane has more than 25 years of experience as an operator, investor and dealmaker in the technology arena.
Zane serves on multiple boards in venture capital, entrepreneurship, and ministry and currently lives with his family in Birmingham, AL.
Shawn Lovejoy
Shawn Lovejoy is Founder & CEO of CourageToLead.com which facilitates leadership growth and organizational health for leaders. Shawn has been a successful real estate developer, a megachurch pastor, and now leads a fast growing coaching & consulting organization. He leads and represents a team of coaches across America whose passion is coaching leaders and organizations through what keeps them up at night. He loves helping leaders and organizations accomplish all of their potential. Shawn has been married for over 25 years to his best friend Tricia and they have three half grown kids: Hannah, Madison, & Paul. They live in Birmingham, AL.
Will Thomas
Will has been investing in companies led by disciple-makers since 2013. As Managing Director of Ambassadors Impact Network, he has built a network of Christian investors who have collectively invested over $16M in more than 30 gospel-advancing organizations since 2018. He also serves on the board of two publicly-traded companies and previously on the board of eleven private companies. He served as interim President and as Chairman of the board of Marketplace Chaplains.
Formerly, Will spent six years making investments with a private equity firm, and eleven years as a pilot and in various leadership positions in the United States Air Force. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
He and his wife are blessed by three exciting children and live in Dallas, Texas.
John Kaserman
John Kaserman is a Principal with Waco Ventures, an early-stage investment firm that commercializes IP from research institutions and partners with founders of high-growth companies. He has 15 years of experience in private equity and alternative investments; sourcing, analyzing and underwriting investments from pre-revenue to public company. John also served as the Executive Pastor of Antioch Mongolia, a church plant in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
